This project is using redundant land in the North of England in Teesside (UK) on a site classed not suitable for residential. Working with the BELP (Billingham Environmental Link Programme), the EA and the local council we have designed this fishing centre for the community as a carbon neutral build and is designed in the shape of a fish. We have also introduced a number of key sustainable initiatives for the benefit of the community in the design and specification. The building design incorporates a living roof for an external environmental garden which also complements proposed landscaping on the site, restaurant with extensive kitchen, training and teaching classrooms. Display areas, viewing points, fishing pegs and a subterranean level.
